Yamaha Rhino lawsuits and accident reports lead to federal investigation of Rhino

Yamaha Rhino lawsuits exceed 200, accident reports reveal 30 deaths

The Wall Street Journal reports that the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is investigating the Yamaha Rhino. The CPSC cites the existence of more than 200 Yamaha Rhino lawsuits and reports of 30 deaths as some of the factors leading to the investigation. Plaintiffs in Yamaha Rhino lawsuits generally allege that the vehicles are unstable due to their narrow wheelbase and high center-of-gravity.  The Yamaha Rhino attorneys of the ATV Attorney Alliance have repeatedl called on Yamaha to recall these dangerous vehicles.

Rhinos aren’t subject to ATV safety regulations because of design differences, such as having a steering wheel instead of handlebars like an ATV. The current investigation could lead the CPSC to issue regulations governing Rhino-type vehicles, which the CPSC calls UTVs (for utility terrain vehicles).

If you have been injured or lost a family member in a Yamaha Rhino rollover, you can file a complaint with the CPSC by using this Consumer Product Incident Report. The ATV Attorney Alliance, with law firms across the U.S., also offers a free review of your potential Yamaha Rhino Lawsuit.
